EJN Christmas Sampler

Welcome to this year’s EJN Christmas Sampler! We are excited to celebrate the holidays with eleven excellent songs to get you in the spirit including several familiar Christmas songs, a few original compositions, and a traditional Hebrew song along with a few surprises.

We begin with a stunning version of Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah by young Jazz artist Sophie Berkal-Sarbit followed by the excellent a capella group Cadence with I Saw Three Ships, new-comer Stacey Bulmer presents a version of the Peanut’s Classic Please Come Home for Christmas you won’t soon forget; West coast jazz singer/songwriter Karin Plato comes in with an original December that is sure to warm you up on a cold winter day, Brenda Lewis adds a beautiful rendition of a traditional Hebrew song Y’ Did Nefesh, followed by Donna Greenberg’s original gospel song Praise Be, Karin Plato’s Snowflake Season imparts the joy of the holidays, while Cadence takes you on a special Sleigh ride with them, Nonie Crete gives us a beautiful version of O’ Holy Night from the Snow Angels CD, with harmonies and back-up vocals by Brenda Lewis. We close with jazz voilinist Cathy Morris two tracks from A Jazz Violin Christmas: Angels We Have Heard On High and her exciting Medley: What Child is This,Il Est Ne Le Divine Enfant, Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring.
